Rules for Pilots of Recreational Drones

If you are flying your drone that weighs less then 7 kg and is not used for commercial purposes, you have to keep in mind a couple of things:

  • Before taking off, check if it is allowed to fly there using Drone Pilot app
  • VLOS - you must be able to see your drone all the time.
  • If you want to fly near airports, you need to get a special permit
  • You are not allowed to fly over an altitude of 120 meters or when your drone is further than 500 meters from you
  • Do NOT fly over crowds!
  • Make sure you do NOT disturb anyone - people and animals
  • You are not allowed to share photos or videos of people without their approval.
